FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1.) Will you beat competitor’s prices?
This is the number one question we receive. The answer is, if their offer is within market value, then yes, we will beat other offers if we are interested. More times than not, sellers come back to buyandsellwwii.com because we did offer more money.
2.) Why should I choose your site?
If you have researched, you will see there are hundreds of WWII sites to choose from. So why choose this site? First, I really do pay a fair price for your WWII items. Don’t believe it? Compare our offers with competitors. Second, I focus more on collecting than selling. Most sites focus on selling hundreds of items at a time. Theres nothing wrong with that, but I dont run this website for financial reasons. I do it because I value the historic significance of each item and I like collecting. Third, I am a social studies teacher and I bring many items to school throughout the school year. There is nothing like a hands on experience to bring home the importance of history to kids.
3.) Are you really a social studies teacher?
Yes, I really am. This is my eighteenth year teaching. If you would like references, please contact me. This brings up a good point. Many collectors claim to be war veterans, teachers, museum curators, people of influence, etc… They do this, to pull at the heart strings of the seller. They make it sound like they are going to have a lot of people see your items and that they are going to use your WWII items for educational or historical purposes. In reality, they are working every angle to buy your WWII items. Unless your a collector, you don’t realize how much competition there is in this hobby. BE SMART. YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE AT SELLING YOUR WWII ITEMS. DON’T REGRET SELLING TO THE WRONG INDIVIDUAL. MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SELLING TO ARE WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE.
4.) How do I get my money?
Payments are sent through paypal. If you dont have paypal, other arrangements can be made such as a postal money order or western union transfer.
5.) How do I ship a gun?
Guns must be shipped through a licensed FFL dealer. To ship, you must take your gun to a firearms dealer. Call before you go because some don’t do it. Once there, you fill out some paperwork and it is shipped. Not complicated and all fees are taken care of on my end.
6.) What if I don’t have paypal?
Funds will be sent either by check or by postal money order. Which ever you prefer.
7.) Why do you offer free WWII appraisals?
Nothing in life is free they say. I offer free WW2 appraisals because I hope that after you see how much your WW2 militaria is worth, you will want to do business with me. If you want to hold onto your items or sell to another business that is also ok because I still got the chance to see some interesting historical items that I dont get to see that often. I also have met WWII Vets that have contacted me and to me that is priceless.
8.) How do you use WWII items in the classroom?
Items I bring into school go to the German, US History, Utah Studies, and Geography classes. They are used as a “hands on” history lesson. Students really enjoy being able to touch a piece of history.
9.) How do I know you won’t sell the items I donate?
All I can do is give you my word. Any WWII militaria that is donated, will be kept in my permanent collection.
10.) Are there other WWII sites you would recommend?
ww2connection.com
Second world war signed books and prints
11.) I do not trust sending items without payment first.
I do require shipment first as I have been duped in the past. It is standard procedure with other sites as well. Please google search buyandsellwwii.com as I have never had a bad experience with a customer. Reputation is everything in this hobby and I strive to keep mine top notch.
12.) How much is my German WWII helmet worth?
It depends, what branch, style, and condition it is in. Some are only worth a few dollars in relic condition. Some German helmets command thousands of dollars. The best thing to do, is email me some pictures of your WW2 German helmet and it will give me a better idea of the value.
13.) I see another site with your slogan and very similar details.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery. I am well aware of the website using my slogan and design. I guess they liked my WWII website
Sell here as I am the original “TOP DOLLAR PAID” WWII site.
