WW2 Anti-Partisan Badge

WW2 Anti-Partisan Badge

Here we are pleased to show a very rare and desirable WW2 Anti-Partisan badge in Silver , this is the so called type 3 model by the prestigious firm of Juncker. Anyone who is familiar with these badges will know that due to being made of Zinc
They are mostly found with very little or sometimes no finish whatsoever,  so it's often difficult to state what grade they actually are.On this example there is remnants of the silver finish and alongside comments from advanced collectors that know these badges,  we are confident it is indeed a Silver grade , we were lucky enough in the past to purchase another silver and a Gold version of this coveted award..Sometimes the type 3 exhibit cracks and even factory repairs as the badges split in the dies, luckily on this particular example it is in near perfect condition minus most of the finish unfortunately,  a brief history of the Anti Partisan badge follows
Courtesy of the WAF forum..
In order to recognize the difficult task of the German Forces fighting these armed gangs, and the courage displayed in doing so, the WW2 Anti-Partisan badge was instituted on January 30, 1944 by Adolf Hitler. Three classes existed; Bronze, Silver, and Gold for respectively 20, 50 and 100 combat days
These badges command high prices and unfortunatelyhave been widely faked
So it's exceedingly prudent to ask for expert advice before purchasing one
