WWII German SA Dagger

Personal collection — not for sale

The SA (Sturmabteilung) dagger was introduced in 1933 as the first Nazi-era edged weapon — predating the SS, Heer, and Luftwaffe daggers that followed. Carried by members of the SA Brownshirts, it features the distinctive brown grip, the SA eagle crossguard, and the blade motto "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything for Germany).

SA daggers were produced in enormous quantities during the 1930s, but many were destroyed or surrendered after the Night of the Long Knives in 1934, when the SA was purged and its leadership eliminated. Surviving examples from the pre-purge period are particularly sought after by collectors.

This example is a standard production SA dagger. The brown grip and SA insignia are intact, and the blade retains its original finish. SA daggers are among the most recognisable German political edged weapons and form a cornerstone of any Third Reich collection.
