WWII Luftschutz Civil Helmet
Though not a highly sought-after piece, it is still a nice looking WWII Luftschutz German helmet. This example is photographed from the front to show the face of the helmet clearly — the decal placement, brim profile, and overall shape that define the Luftschutz pattern.
The Luftschutz helmet was issued to civil air defense wardens across Germany from the late 1930s onward. Produced in large numbers, they are more commonly encountered than some other German helmet types, but genuine period examples with intact decals and original liners remain collectible.
This example presents well from the front — a solid representative piece of German civil defense militaria that fills a gap in any Luftschutz or home-front collection.
